To Run or Not to Run

I have been really motivated by my youngest daughter and her sincere desire to run and get in shape. There have been days that I had no desire to run at all, but did so because she was going to. It has been more difficult to stay in shape than it was last year. To train for these very long races is time consuming. To many times I have ended a run telling myself that that was my last run. Thursday's run was the same. I was running 10 miles. I carried my water (since I have had one home owner tell me "no" when I have knocked on their door begging for water), it was very muggy and a terrible morning. When I finished and looked at my time, I realized that an old person using a walker could go faster than I was going. So that was it. I got some Gatorade down me and then tore up my training log that I faithfully had kept this last 6 months. I love you Fay, but not even you can convince me to start up my training again. You will just have to come to grips with the fact that you are faster than me, at last! I am going to enjoy the rest of the summer and getting in 100's of miles on my bike.

It's hard to do something you don't enjoy. About the person saying you couldn't have any water that was pretty rude! I have seen several rude people of late. Too bad.

Well I think I'm feeling the same way Julie...Lydia asked me if I wanted to sign up for the Hood to Coast Run...I said Nope and just felt alittle sad. I'm getting back on my bike going to get going on the weights again and only run two days a week. It's ok.
